* NOTE: The downloadable poster is

The Plain Language poster (OSHA 3165) replaces OSHA's workplace
poster (OSHA 2203).
OSHA Says... All covered employers are
required to display and keep displayed, a poster prepared by the
Department of Labor* informing employees of the protections of the
Occupational Safety and Health Act P.L. 91-596, December 29, 1970 and
its amendments. The poster must be displayed in a conspicuous place
where employees and applicants for employment can see it.
Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations, 1903.2(a)(3)
states that reproductions or facsimiles of the poster shall be at least
8 1/2 by 14 inches with 10 point type.
In order to reproduce this poster from a personal
computer, please note the following requirements and recommendations:

For local PC printing, it is recommended that you
use a high-resolution laser or wax-transfer type printer for color
reproductions, and that the printer have at least 1 MB of memory. For
B/W reproductions, it is still advisable to use a laser printer which
is capable of producing at least 300 dpi resolution.

When preparing to print from a personal computer,
first check and make sure that the target printer has the ability to
produce the proper paper size (the minimum size is 8.5 x 14 inches).
Set the
Adobe Acrobat printer settings to "Shrink to Fit" and make sure to
select the proper paper tray. NOTE: the particular variables and
configurations for each printer may vary, so these instructions are
only general. If you have any problems reproducing the poster on a
personal computer printer, please check with the manufacturer or the
Adobe software support team.

How to Save Information
After you have found the page with the information you need:
1. Click on "File" at the
top of your browser
2. Click on "Save As"
3. Name the file and choose where you want the file (page) saved on your
computer.
Editing Saved
Pages
Any web page you have saved to
your computer can be opened and edited with your word processor. Be
sure that AFTER YOU EDIT, you "SAVE AS"
a new file in the correct format for your word processor so you end
up with a document not a web page. As an example, if you use
Microsoft Word, be sure to SAVE your changes as a MS WORD document (.doc)
 Saving
Pictures
The best way to save a photo or picture is to
RIGHT CLICK on the picture. This will open a menu with
the option to "Save Picture As"
Downloading
NonWeb Files
It is highly
recommended that when accessing NON-WEB PAGE file links, such as DOC, PDF,
PPT, etc., that you RIGHT Click
on the links and use the "Save As" option to save these files
directly to your computer. Attempting to view these files through your
browser with a plug-in viewer (particularly large files > .5 MB), can
result in technical difficulties and the need for unnecessary/multiple
downloads.
Opening
PDF files
This web
